Just to remind you that the deadline for the subscription to the second and/or third year of Ph.D. is December 23th.

As usual, Ph.D. students have to prepare a short presentation about their activity.
Moreover, second-year students also have to write a survey paper on topics related to their PhD thesis which will be sent to an internal commission to be evaluated.

No deadline has be confirmed jet, but it should be around the first half of October for the presentation and the month after for the survey papers.

As soon as possible we will post further infos.

Si rende noto che, in seguito al seminario di approfondimento su “La valutazione della ricerca nelle discipline umanistiche e sociali”, il Centro Programmazione, sviluppo e valutazione dell’Ateneo (CESV) ha attivato, all’interno del sito web dell’Università, la specifica sezione http://nuva.uniud.it/ricerca/valutazione_ricerca dedicata alla valutazione della ricerca, che sarà periodicamente aggiornata con materiali di approfondimento, riferimenti normativi e bibliografici e link istituzionali legati ad attività e processi valutativi.

Considerata l’importanza della valutazione della qualità della ricerca scientifica, si invitano le SS.LL. a prendere visione dei contenuti della sezione sopraccitata.

As communicated at the meeting regarding the annual reports, second-year students have to write a survey paper on arguments related to their PhD thesis.

These have to be ready around 20th November 2009, and have to be sent to an internal commission to be evaluated. The commissions are the following:

• Dott. Sugavanam Swaminathan: Prof. Alberto Policriti, Prof. Carla Piazza, Prof. Marino Miculan

From now on, every PhD student can edit its own student profile page.
How to:
If you are a PhD student, once you have logged in, you will see a menu on the left called Student Account from which you can find a link to your own Student Page.
At the moment you can add general infos as: name, ciclo, email, office, ...
Moreover, you can add items like:

• attended courses at Udine
• other attended courses
• seminars activities at Udine

by simply selecting them from the course list and seminar list respectively.

remember that only you and the admin can edit your page.
I've added some infos, check them and update your own profile as soon as possible!

Ps: You can see all the students profiles in the Current Students page. If you want to change (or delete) your associated picture it suffices to change your user profile picture from your account page.
In order to have a uniform style, I suggest to update a 200x200pix picture.

Con l'arrivo del nuovo coordinatore sono cambiate un po' di cose: la gestione del dottorato sta diventando più formale, e questo forse è un bene, ma le nuove regole hanno purtroppo un effetto retroattivo (o rettoattivo a seconda degli effetti sugli studenti). Nessun problema per chi ha incominciato nel 2009, ma per gli studenti più vecchi qualche grana c'è. Non è raro che esami sostenuti o scuole estive seguite perdano il loro valore in termine di crediti.

Gioite, gioite!
In data odierna, all'unanimità, è stato eletto il nuovo Rappresentante dei Dottorandi. Una tappa storica per il Dimi: la vittoria di Alexandru Tomescu volta pagina dopo anni di avarizia e ingenerosità nei confronti dell'elettorato presente alla consulta. Le sue parole, al termine dello spoglio delle schede, suonano come ambrosia alle orecchie dei dottorandi lì presenti: "Sono onorato della fiducia che su di me avete riposto. Sarò un rappresentante illuminato, e come primo provvedimento OFFRO DA BERE A TUTTI".
L'inaspettata notizia ha sciolto i cuori dei presenti che sicuramente non mancheranno all'invito.
